As part of its continuing efforts to educate the public, regulators, and decision makers about the benefits of gasification, the Gasification Technologies Council hosts the following workshops:
Introduction to Gasification Workshop
This three hour workshop is open to the public and will be held on October 28, 2012 prior to the 2012 Gasification Technologies conference. The Introduction to Gasification Workshop is designed give a general audience an overview of gasification, including the basic process, the difference between gasification and incineration, large scale coal gasification, biomass and waste gasification, environmental performance, and carbon dioxide management.
Regulators' Workshops
The Regulators' workshops are open only to GTC members and local, state, and federal regulators and legislators. These workshops are intended to regulators and legislators about the uses and benefits of gasification. The day and a half workshop covers the fundamentals of gasification, underground coal gasification, biomass and waste gasification, environmental permitting, and carbon dioxide management. The workshop also involves a tour of a gasification plant.
